The Moorish Maiden

At least, that's what I keep telling myself about why I still haven't started cutting fabric for my supportive kirtle / underdress / chemise / whateveryouwanttocallitlayerunderneath.  I've read and re-read the great comments concerning my sleeve plight, and I think I will make the underlayer sleeveless.  (I still have to solve the gusset problem for the plaid bias-cut over dress, but that will come in due time.)

So why haven't I actually cut any fabric, you ask?  I really, really, really want to see what a fourteenth century Spanish whateveryouwanttocallitlayerunderneath looks like.  And so far, I haven't had much luck finding a picture.

Well, that and I'm terrified of the unknown...  ;-)
