Pennsic Prep

A long time ago, a friend - who played in a Ren Faire, but knew lots of SCAdians - asked why it is we always have this "Pennsic Panic" where sometime in June it dawns on us that oh crap we have an awful lot to get done before War! Isn't Pennsic two weeks in the summer every year? Can't you just work on the garb all year round and skip the last minute crunch period?
At the time, her question made good sense. That was over eight years ago. And I can tell you that the only years I *don't* have a last minute frenzy of Pennsic prep activity are the years I don't go to Pennsic!
Well, this year is no exception. I just started digging out all the projects that didn't get finished *last* year. And realizing that I probably have just as good a chance of getting them done this time around! Bring on the sewing!
(This is the first interest I've felt in sewing since January or thereabouts... basically, since I learned to knit. I was very worried I had fatally burned out on making garb, so this resurgence of enthusiasm is a GOOD thing!)
