I'm running around the house, collecting supplies to see whether I *really* have what it takes to throw together a pair of medieval-oid shoes.  MT#1 is following me around all squealy at the very thought of shoes made just for her.  I draw a prototype shoe, and she says, "Is it an old fashioned shoe?"  

Um, yes honey, it's for an SCA event.

"Oh, because those are the shoes that Jesus wears!"

*facepalm*  OK, honey.
